Mr Shawn came to my studio to document his up-coming 1st birthday. He was absolutely a doll, so handsome and charming, happy and smiley that I could have photographed him for hours.
I LOVE these eyes!! They aren’t quite brown, but not quite grey or hazel. They seemed to have grey, hazel, brown and gold all layered together to create some of the most beautiful, interesting eyes I’ve seen.
This little man was not.quite.walking yet. Mom would hold him up and then pull her hands out of the shot. He took some steps for me and was quite proud of himself.
I custom ordered this bow tie and suspender set on Etsy from The Baxter Boy. Shawn was already ridiculously handsome, but I think he was totally dapper in this set.
He’s sure going to be a heart-breaker. He definitely stole my heart in the hour that I got to hang out with him.
His expression and pose were perfect in this shot, but it took some photoshop work to get it what you see above. Since he’s still a little wobbly, mom was holding him in most of my shots or would get him standing. quickly pull her hands out of the shot and then catch him before he fell. As you can see in the original, straight of of the camera shot below on the left, mom was still holding on to Shawn, but he was holding onto his suspenders and had the cutest look on his face AND was looking directly at the camera. I was able to take pieces of 3 other images and do some meticulous cloning to remove mom’s hands. It took some patience and made me really wish I had a Waccom table for editing, instead of my mouse, but it all came together.
This was Shawn’s very first cake!!! And I think he liked it!
Who needs a fork or fingers when you can dive right in and eat it face first?!
