Talli | Class of 2018
I don’t get a chance to photograph high school seniors often, but when I do, I LOVE it! Especially, when the high school grad is as sweet and gorgeous as Talli.
I photographed Talli’s family a few years ago and I was so excited when she contacted me in early August about doing her senior portraits. We set a date and I kept my fingers crossed the blasted wildfire smoke would clear out of the valley by September for her session. It did finally clear out, but we were left with a very dreary, overcast day, and we even got sprinkled on a little. I’d planned for some awesome sunset shots, with a sun-drenched background, but we made the best of the cloudy day and her images came out amazing!
Talli started with professional hair and make up with Jayme of JLM Artistry, who is freakin’ fabulous, btw!
(I strongly recommend professional hair and make for every session. I have a list of amazing artist I can recommend for your session.)
We started her session in my studio, using my black v-flats, which I’ve kind of been obsessed with lately.
We then hit up a little side street and small park on our way toward downtown Medford. I drive by this area just about every day taking my kids to ballet and had always wanted to stop and photograph there. I’d wanted the glowy sun streaming through the trees, but they ended up turning out beautiful without it.
We then went under the I-5 overpass downtown where all the bums and transients like to hang out (not really, but they do pass through this area so I’m always on guard). I really like this little spot because it has gorgeous light anytime of day and there is an awesome foot bridge over Bear Creek.
We walked around a small area of our downtown. Our town isn’t really old enough to be really cool, and there’s not much in amazing architecture, but there is some fun textures, and, most importantly, pretty light.
These were some of the last images of our session and ended up being some of Talli’s favorites.
Talli, you are smart, sweet, kind, and beautiful inside and out. I truly LOVED getting to photograph your your high school senior portraits and I hope you love these forever!
xoxo, Crystelle
